It is with great excitement that I introduce myself as the new principal of Montevideo Elementary School for the 2014-2015 school year. I feel so fortunate to be joining a school culture focused on student learning. I look forward to be working with this dedicated staff, and caring parent community to provide the best educational program for our students.
I have taught and provided administrative support in the Saddleback Valley Unified District for 14 years. I completed my undergraduate degree abroad in Canada and my graduate degree at Cal State Fullerton. I consider myself a life long learner and am always looking for growth opportunities that will help our students, staff, and parents.
My intent is to provide the leadership to facilitate a school environment that supports the 21st Century Learning needs of our students. Our educational program must get our students college and career ready by engaging them through the “4 C’s” of collaboration, communication, critical thinking, and creativity. I will work hard to maintain the legacy of success established at Montevideo by building strong relationships with parents, students, staff, and community partners. With these strong partnerships, I am confident Montevideo will be an incredible place to learn and grow.
As a Principal, my door is always open and I welcome your input. Please feel free to stop in or call to make an appointment to discuss any concerns, suggestions, or ideas to make this the best year yet!
